Kathmandu Kickers Players and Officials Depart for Germany Football Tour 2026

The players and officials of Kathmandu Kickers departed for Germany today as part of the Kathmandu Kickers Germany Football Tour 2026.

Ahead of the departure, Kathmandu Kickers bid farewell to the players, staff, and parents on Wednesday at Cupon Sports Center, Kapan, hosting a simple send-off event where everyone gathered to wish the team well before their international journey.

The week-long tour is another important step in providing young players with international football exposure and valuable learning experiences outside Nepal. During their stay in Germany, the team will take part in football activities, interact with players and coaches from different environments, and compete in international tournaments before returning to Nepal on May 28.

For many of the players, this tour will be their first opportunity to experience European football culture closely. Along with matches and training sessions, the visit will also help them understand the discipline, professionalism, infrastructure, and overall environment surrounding football development in Germany.

The tour is not only about football. Spending time together during travel, training, matches, and other activities also helps players build stronger relationships with teammates and officials. Experiences like these play an important role in personal growth, confidence building, communication, and teamwork.

Coaches Krishna Tamang, Suraj Thapa Magar, and Thamman Bhusal have traveled with the team, along with some of the parents. This marks the first time Coach Suraj Thapa Magar has traveled to Germany with Kathmandu Kickers. Our physiotherapist, Dr. Rabindra Basnet, is also part of the traveling group.

Likewise, Nabin Pande, President of Kathmandu Kickers, is also traveling with the team to Germany. Based in Germany, he had recently returned to Nepal ahead of the tour and is now accompanying the players and officials back to Germany as part of the Kathmandu Kickers Germany Football Tour 2026.

The presence of coaches and parents throughout the trip will continue to provide important guidance, support, and encouragement to the young players.

Kathmandu Kickers believes that exposure to different football cultures and environments can positively influence young players both on and off the field. The club has continued to organize international tours over the years to give players opportunities to learn through real-world experiences.

Kathmandu Kickers would like to sincerely thank Budhanilkantha Municipality, National Sports Council, Embassy of Germany in Nepal, Turkish Airlines, Department of Immigration, and Shikhar Insurance for their valuable support in making this tour possible.

A special thank you also goes to all the parents for their trust, sacrifices, and continuous support throughout the process. Their encouragement and belief continue to motivate young players to pursue opportunities that help them grow through football and life experiences.

Kathmandu Kickers wishes the players, officials, and accompanying parents a safe, productive, and memorable trip to Germany.

Kathmandu Kickers Players Set for Germany Football Experience Tour 2026

Kathmandu Kickers is once again taking a group of young players to Germany for an international football exposure tour. The team will travel on May 21 and return to Nepal on May 28, 2026.

This yearly tour is an important part of our player development program. It gives our players the chance to experience football outside Nepal and learn more about the professional football environment in Europe.

During the stay in Germany, players will train, visit football facilities, and play matches against strong European academies. These games are usually faster, more physical, and tactically demanding. Competing in that environment helps players improve their decision-making, confidence, discipline, and understanding of the game.

The tour is also an opportunity for players to observe football infrastructure, training culture, and professionalism at a higher level. Experiencing a different football system helps young players return with a broader perspective and stronger motivation to improve.

Apart from football development, the trip will help players become more independent and responsible. Traveling internationally, managing daily routines, adapting to a new environment, and spending time away from home are all valuable life experiences for young athletes. These moments help players grow mentally and personally.

The tour also plays an important role in team building. Spending time together during training sessions, travel, matches, and other activities helps players build stronger relationships and a better understanding with their teammates as well as coaches and staff. Developing trust and communication off the field can also improve teamwork on the field.

Kathmandu Kickers has been organizing football tours to Germany almost every year to provide its players with international exposure. Over the years, these experiences have played an important role in helping our young footballers grow both on and off the field.
